Filippo I have all of Krenov's books in hard copy I bought many years ago. Very inspirational. I'll bet they are much easier to read on Ipad

I bet Steve Jobs finds the experience of Krenov's furniture more satisfying over an Ipad also? :)

Todd, as you say Taylor is the real deal. I hung with him a little at one of the Asia (?) conferences. And he was very approachable. He did a series of very practical articles for Guitarmaker magazine. A real nuts and bolts kind of guy. One I have looked back at as holding a lot of truth was the one about how everyone should own a welder. About 5 years after that I got one, and I know what he is talking about, now. The article showed stuff like bridge clamps that one could just tack together. As the saying goes "I got into metal work because I couldn't wait for the glue to dry".

There was also an article on making side benders using electrical resistance that seemed a little scary.

Todd,

I also finished "Guitar Lessons" last week. I share your perceptions of the book; probably better in the "Business" or "Entrepreneurship" section, rather than luthiery. That being the case, I found it to be a pleasing book, if somewhat superficial. Bob's passion and willingness to go to the wall in pursuit of what he loves, building guitars, comes across loud and clear. This book confirms one of my current pet principles, that if you pursue your passion, you can accomplish great things.

I'd recommend it without reservation.
