My friend came over with a Halfling bass, and we played a bit.
I think Tom R. is really onto something here.
It is like a stereo guitar,
with sound coming out of the bridge area,
and sound coming out of the upper bout soundhole.
Anyone ever get a chance to hear one of these things?
Really quite amazing.

These are flat on the bass side, and arched on the treble.
