hello to every one.

can i use 4 piece pine for top of classical and steel string guitars.
the widest piece is about 4-5 inches
should i use 3 piece top or should add ears to the lower bout
it is very cheap.

Pine is awfully soft for use as a top. Doug fir is better...
You can use three and 4 pice tops and I would recommend 4 piece and add the wings on the outside. Looks better than a big stripe down the center with 3 piece.

multi-piece is ok, but not pine!

you can fin some cedar top for 25$ and some sitka fore 30-35$.
