I'm working on my 1st steel string & dealing with a truss rod is a new experience for me. I plan to have access to the truss rod nut in the body through the sound hole. I'm using a bolt-on neck. My question: Should the TR nut be located flush within the tenon, or can it proceed through the heel block & be flush with the heel block inside face. Having the TR nut flush with the tenon might make it hard to adjust, whereas having it flush with the heel block might make a neck reset more difficult. What's the conventional wisdom on this?

Flush with heelblock face or even a bit past is fine. Won't inhibit reset.
