ehem... How to prevent woods from bugs?... I've sawed into thin mahogany board and I save some time but I am very surprised there were several small holes.
if there were several small hole can I patch with woods or inlay?
thanks... [xx(] gaah

It's common to have bug holes in mahogany.
More in Honduran, less in African.
My experiences.

Herry,

These holes are simple to deal with. A little CA glue in the hole then sand over the area which will drag the sawdust over the CA in the hole. Or you can sand filling the hole with the dust and drop thin CA onto it but the former method tends to work better. Ultimately it will either look like a stable pin knot, or virtually disappear depending on the size of the hole. This will also work with HHG or other wood glues. Generally, even if it looks like a pin knot, it will virtually disappear under the finish if you plan to tint or stain the wood.

Padma! Thanks!
My latest idea that I just now thought of is a pecky cedar top.
No soundhole cutting,
no rosette.
Just gotta find the right piece.
I wonder if I can find a piece of pecky cedar quartersawn.
Sorry.
What Bill said is a good fix.

And in plain simple English, the Padmeister said something like:

"Surprise surprise, Verhoevenc speak Malay.
Good for you, showing you have more on the ball of the guitar.
Maybe we can cover several times. " :D

Very good Bill

The actual translation is

"Surprise surprise, Verhoevenc speaks Malay.
Good for you, shows you have more on the ball than just guitars.
Maybe we can covers some times. "

herry tze

tinggal jauh dari semburan bug pengeboman dan racun ..

Panas, panas membunuh mereka. Gelombang mikro untuk potongan kecil, oven untuk peti besar dan wap untuk potongan besar.

berkat

Best stay away from the bug bombing sprays and poisons...

Heat, heat kills them. Micro wave for small pieces, oven for big and steam box for large pieces.
