My Jet 10-20 appears to be malfunctioning... I have only built 3 guitars with it. I bought it new and it's only a few years old. The drum motor works fine, but the conveyer motor is not be working (turning). I don't hear any kind of sound when I turn it on. No humming or anything. [xx(] Does anyone have any idea what's wrong. ..a fuse or breaker somewhere? ...a bad motor? I sure hope not. eek It worked fine the last time I used it...

The first thing I'd check is the switch. These typically have magnetic drive motors and they rarely go bad but can. If the switch is bad (possibly a loose connection) Simple fix. If it has brushes accessible from the outside of the motor, that would be my next thing to check but it's quite likely the switch and or switch wiring.

Thanks Bill,
I just went out to the shop and took the housing off the switch and wiggled the wire connections a little to make sure they were secure and then I turned it on. I works! bliss I don't what happened, but I sure am relieved!

Any time. After leaving the Army I spent a few years as an industrial maintenance man. It has paid off many times since those days on my own equipment.
