So if I put a coat of shellac on before pore filling with ca.Does the shellac coat need to be sanded before pore filling? I`ve always used Z-Poxy.I just don`t like the stuff.

I don't see any reason why you would need to sand. The CA will stick to shellac just fine. In fact, sanding through the finish in spots would cause blotchiness.
