I can't find any information about these truss rods or which way up to install them. Are they the same as the martin style ones with the taped side down? Should I epoxy it in?

That's what it says for the martin truss rods, but apart from the small radius where the aluminium has been bent to make the U channel, this one is flat on both sides, with one side solid and the other covered with tape.
