I picked up some wood this weekend at LMI's sale and am wondering how easy or hard the following is to bend:

Wenge
Madagascar Rosewood
Honduran Rosewood
Machiche

Any input appreciated.

Thanks, Peter Z

Peter: Out of these I've only bent Honduran Rosewood. It bent very easily with no problem other than an abnormal amount of black resin from one set after bending. This cleaned up easily with scraping and sanding.

Wenge is prone to splitting so handle this with care but will bend easy at about 320. Don't over heat if if you can as this will make it more brittle.

I hand bent a small set of wenge on a pipe and it bent very nice. Med/Hot pipe and spritzed it with water as I went along. Bent almost like Mahog.
