Hi everyone!

I recently bought some BRW bridge blank, but they are almost flat sawn. Instead of returning them, I decided to order 2 more (and the guy gave me Qsawn this time...) and to keep the flat-sawn ones for some incrustation of anything else. So I have the idea off using it for rosette. I really like ''radial'' rosewood rosette. So here's my question...

The blanks are 7/16... I could possibly get 4 rosettes from there. Should it make a rosette 'log'? Like a 7/16'' thick rosette, and then resaw it on the band saw? If I make the rosette on a square base.. I could easily resay it... Have you ever did that?

Thanks!
Francis
