What happened with the 2009 Subscriber packages?

The last I ever saw Lance stepped in and said that he would make sure these things get sent out. (This was months ago).

Every time Brock replied he said they were boxed up and ready to go.

Now I can't even find the thread when searching the forum.

I see that you are shipping out strings and the auctions for wood, so what's the deal with the subscriber packages?

It's been a year since taking people's money and still no shipment.

I bumped that thread a couple months back and it was gone.
The whole thing is getting to be a bit much.

I have shipped about half of them. I will get the other half out this week. I am sorry. I know.

Don't think you got them out the week after Sep. 12th. since mine still hasn't arrived.

What now?

I have been a shipping fool. Except for the international ones everything is out.

I expect to have the international ones out this week. Those are harder since I can't auto ship them and have to go to the window due to the customs forms.

You blokes, Lance and Brock both need to lift your bloody game.

Everyone else seems to just kiss your butt when you come up with your half assed excusses, but the bottom line is that you are not doing what you promised you would, and you can't deny it. Tho, it seems you accept other peoples money without any problem at all.

The OLF has always been a great place to come, but you fella's are so busy with those $ signs in your eyes that you're loosing the OLF. But worst of all, you're loosing us. (people are leaving, didn't your bar graphs already show you that?)

You still have time to fix it tho, most of us still believe in you, but you're gonna have to move those butts.

And I could give a rat's poo hole if any one wants to have a go at me, hell ban me or let the flaming commence, I don't much care. At least I haven't lost track.

I've been watching this and other post along the same lines with utter disgust in the total lack of professionalism to downright deceitfulness. You guys can put whatever spin you want on it, but at the end of the day I'm another that was once checking in to the OLF 2 times a day. Now it would be less than 2 times a week. I believe you become what you associate with, and I for one am not going to be associating with a community that is run in this manner until things turn around.

This type of conduct is truly unbecoming and hurts us all.

Must agree, what has been unfolding of late is tardy stuff indeed.

Disappointing, when you consider that anyone can buy forum software and pay for a server, but without the input of good willed knowledgeable people giving freely, a forum is no more than just another hard drive spinning in cyberspace. IMHO the tacky stuff we have seen develop of late has done nothing to propagate the free sharing of knowledge and information, rather it is eroding the good will. Nobody likes to be taken advantage of or to be seen as nothing more than an opportunity and I am sorry to say that is how all of this is panning out, like we are all seen as no more than a cash cow.

I did not buy any but I could not believe the 'cedar fire sale', what was that all about? Would 'ANYONE' with more than the most basic understanding have classed that stuff above single 'A' ???

Regards

Kim

You should have known that shipping internationally requires more time before you took peoples money.

Your comment that, "those are harder since I can't auto ship them and have to go to the window due to the customs forms",
is another excuse that will not get you any empathy.

Understandably some of you are upset. I don't begrudge anyone of that. This has taken way too long. I fully admit that and take responsibility for it.

My only point about the shipping was I can't ship these via the automated postal machine (which is fast and can be done whether the post office is open or not). I have to send the international packages when the P.O. is open, and they are miserably slow at processing international orders. THAT was my point.

I could just ship them all UPS. That would be much easier on my end, but I continue to hear that isn't good for everyone else. I just haven't found a good way to ship the international packages that is convenient, fast and reasonably priced (for everyone).

I buy a lot of stuff from the USA. Most of it is shipped via USPS. I can't recall the last time anything took more than ten days to Canada at least.

I thought the people that publish the Acoustic Guitar magazine handle the shipping? I'm guessing I'm never going to see an issue of it through OLF. Oh well. I've written that one off as a donation long ago. Too bad though. Leaves a bit of a sour taste. Fortunately there's still a lot of good people hanging out here. :)

This an absolute disgrace.

I'm sick of the BS Brock. I'm not interested in what you "expect" to get done this week. You need to march your backside down to the post office tomorrow and post my wood.

I paid July 2nd. Why do I have to wait for you to post all the recent domestic orders before you even think about the international orders from months and months ago?

Liam Ryan.

I can't defend bad service. It hasn't affected me this time but I support all who have been more than patient with this issue..

On the other hand, Lance did a great service on this year's string order. I was truly impressed and grateful for the effort! [clap] [clap] [clap]

Must agree JJ and give credit where due, the strings went out pronto and I did not see a single complaint or even an inquiry as everyone was kept up to date and it went off like clockwork. So kudos to Lance for pulling that one together so well.

Cheers

Kim

WTF? I cant believe some of you guys... I too wont defend the lateness of the response you get, but If you have have issues with the Forum running chaps, admons, CEOs? idunno should you not have taken this offline? This, forum from what I can see is a service run FOC for guitar builders by guitar builders... not quite sure the 'community spirit' is flowing here.. come on guys, crack open a beer, pig down some crisps (chips for my colonial cousins), and cus the admins privately... or by PM. Not sure I knew about subscriber packages, anyway, but they must have been quite good if folk are gettin' all angry about the lateness... what dis I miss out on guys? bliss

... and if I order one now, being in the UK, will I get it around 2012, I am sure need it in time for my next Ryder cup victory celebration! ;)

PS. Off topic, but great golf day, great fight back from the US of A, but the might EU held firm.. must admit, was very tight, but great to see it all played out in the right spirit.

Ahh so now it's 25 wins for the USA and 11 wins for the rest of the world. Not too shabby :)
