I bought the Stewmac profile for the mortise and tenon neck joint - their choice of bit is 12.7 mm Dia and 20.64 mm long - the nearest equivalent I can get from my preferred supplier of router bits is 12.7 in 19mm or 25.4 length - will the 19mm be sufficient depth ?

John

Hi John,
If the bit is not long enough you can always take an extra pass.
You better don't rout the full depth in one pass.
(I have an axminster 12 mm bit it works fine for tenons for me)

Regards
Wim

I was wondering about that, I also have the Jon Simpson neck jig - he cuts both in one pass on his video
