I'm finally to the point I'm ready to cut pockets in the linings for the braces. I'm building from Collings plans, and it looks like the finger braces and lower tone braces are tucked into the lining. Is this correct? Most of the tops I've seen around here have those braces carved down to nothing before the lining. Just wondering if I should do the same for this build. Thanks for the help. This site and its members have been instrumental (sorry) in helping me get this far into my first build.

I would feather them to nothing and tuck only the x brace ends and the thumbeam. My two cents...

Thanks for the advice. I will shoot Mike a message and pick his brain, but I think I will probably feather the finger braces and lower braces down before the lining.
