This might bend the forum rules a wee bit but if you read the next couple sentences, you will realize that my intentions are in the right place. I will be going back to graduate school in 2011 and am thinning back my inventory. After years of building instruments, the truth is that most of my customers order either Rosewood, Ebony, Ziricote, etc... So I have a lot of exquisite "
non-traditional" tonewood that I've collected that would take years before I get to use it.
I signed up for the OLF Classifieds a couple years ago but didn't find it very effective. In reality, eBay does pretty well for the lower priced tonewoods but is terrible for selling high-value tonewoods. At this point, I have sold most of the stuff that I don't regularly use thru eBay. However, over the last few days I also decided I would sell off my very best sets of these species as well. These sets will be gone in a few weeks because the prices are incredibly reasonable.
There is just one listing that I really wanted this community to be aware of. The auction is for Mastergrade Walnut and you don't see figure like this that often and I thought someone here might really want it.
So just to clarify my intentions, please understand this post is not in effort to drum up a buyer -- at this price these sets will sell sometime soon. I just thought someone in the OLF community might really want it.
