Hi

What is the best way to fill these gaps beneath the tang, it is a IR fretboard.

there are a number of ways. My Favorite is to lightly sand the fretboard edge and allow the dust to fill the slot , then drop in CA. It may take a few applications to fully fill the tang slot. Another method I use is to take thin plane shavings and wedge them into the tang slot and CA fill.

The problem with Rosewood fingerboards in it is almost impossible to match what ever method you use. With ebony the sanding dust and CA works great. With the EIR the dust will darken with the CA so you need to experiment with lighter shades of wood dust.
