Hii gang, I have an old '47 SS Stewart Archtop (probably a sears type guitar). Anyways it has a pretty bowed neck - action is about 0.25" at the 12th fret. I am looking for alterantives to fix it. The biggest suggestion so far, was to remove the fretboard, route in a groove and install a truss rod.

Although I do a lot of precision woodworking/metalworking, I am not a luthier. However, I dont mind learning or getting into difficult jobs.

thanks
