Is there a trick to keeping that beatiful bright red color you get when the wood is first cut. It seems that when it oxidizes, if thats the proper term, it turns into a brownish color if left out too long in the air. I've tried a few different clears coats water and oil. Yet best I can get is a kind of tobacco red color. I've searched the web no info.
