This is a GREAT set of cuban mahogany. This wood is really the top shelf when it comes to Mahogany sets. This is large enough for a dreadnaught.

Retail value is $180. A bid of $150 ends the auction early and gets free shipping.

The auction ends tomorrow (Thursday) at 3PM

And just for fun.. Here is a guitar I recently built with a set of Cuban.

With that I guess it's time for a quick intro. My name is Robert Anderson, I reside in Canberra Australia and I love building guitars.
until now I have always given the ones I build to friends or charity. I am a builder by trade and did I mention that I love to build guitars
(Mostly Acoustic) I spend a lot of time going through forums as there is always something new to learn. I am about to begin building my first electric purely for the experience and it lets me work with some amazing timbers I have managed to collect over the years. Anyway that's enough for now or I will tend to ramble on a bit . I hope to get to know some forum members a bit better as time goes on. Thanks for all the info I have gotten from this forum and hopefully I will be able to contribute when the right subjects come along. Cheers Robert

Hi Robert and welcome to the OLF. I visited Australia back in 71 with the Navy. Sydney to be exact. Sydney Bridge, the Opera House, Botanical Gardens, Kings Cross district and all that. Loved Australia, just like the US except that you drive on the wrong side of the road.

René
