Up for grabs today is a very nice set of HIGH FIGURE KOA. This set has even edge to edge curl. The back is easily large enough for a dread, but the sides are more suited toward an OM (~4.5" wide at tail)

Retail value is $250, but a bid of $200 ends the auction early and gets free domestic shipping.

This auction ends tomorrow (FRIDAY 5/28) at 3PM EST.

Good Luck

Hmm, do you think it would make a good top? How well quartered is it toward the center? I love the dark stripes, but it looks maybe too much flat sawn for a top.

Like most koa the grain isn't perfectly straight, but it is well quartered and high curl, so it would look great.

I really can't comment on Koa as a top wood since I have never used it. I know others have with success though.

Alrighty then, I'll start it at $100. Could make a bunch of bindings or head plates out of those sides too :)
