Hi, all, first post here. I'm probably more interested in repair than building, but one never knows, do one?

Last year I finally stuck the pickguard on my Simon and Patrick Pro Rosewood dreadnought. Last night I peeled it off again. Naturally a lot of adhesive residue was left behind (is "residue left behind" redundant?); no damage to the finish or top, though. My question: What would be a good solvent for taking that old adhesive off, but not the guitar finish?
