bliss

Can't resist blatantly showing off my latest zoot score... A no-sapwood, straight grain, dread sized set of Camatillo rosewood (that, as legend has it, was set aside by Chris at LMI when they got their first shipment of Camatillo). No I just have to learn how to build a guitar worthy of that set...

Very nice Christian - I am sure you will make it sing when you build a guitar out of it! [:Y:]

Okay can somebody tell this newbie where "Zoot" came from or why it's slang for wood?

Back in the early days of the OLF (circa 2004) when there were just a handful of us, Bob Cefalu (RC Tonewoods) would regularly entice us with some of the prettiest, highly-figured back and side sets. At the time, I believe it was one of the Kinnaird Brothers who referred to the figure as "Zoot"...presumably because of the bling and pomp of the Zoot Suits that the K-Bros often wore in their shops ;). Well, it wasn't long after that Bob was forever referred to as "The Zootman" and has continued to live up to his reputation to this day.

Thanks for the info, I was sure I was missing some tech term. I assume that Bob is the Zootman on eBay?
