Hey guys got a couple of basic questions

I got my first set of wood in curly maple / wrc from cvt bliss . For now I am keeping it on a self in my 2nd bathroom because it is easy to maintain the RH. The wood has some slight cupping and is pretty thick.
Do you recommend stickering or letting it sit to correct it?
Do you put stickers (if that is what they are called) under the bottom piece of wood?
Also would you do a rough thickness sanding before seasoning the wood.

Any tips, advice, comments would be great.
Thanks
matt

Sticker

Yes - so the air can get around the bottom piece as well

No - sticker as is - thickness sand then sticker again if you see cupping.

Sticker with the high end of the cup up. That whay the weight of the stack will correct the cup over time.

Yes I noticed that you have the sets sickerd as pairs with one piece directly on its mate. You should have one plank per sticker level to allow eve air flow across both sides of each piece of wood

Sticker now and allow at the bare minimum 30 days. then rough thickness and re-sticker

Thanks for the replies.

The one double pair is because I ran out of stickers. I plan to go get more when the snow clears.

I am going to move the pieces/stickers around so they all line up.

Michael you said sticker with high end of cup up. Do you mean Like this ( ^ ) or like
this ( U ). I think you mean ^.
