I got a seal coat on my first guitar yesterday and can finally get a picture of what the back will look like. It's Madagascar rosewood with curly maple bindings. The mad rose came from Vikwood. He showed me a few pics and I picked this set. He said it had just been returned to him from the Martin guitar company because they couldn't find a side set to match. It appears that they thought it would only be acceptable to have sapwood in the sides as
well. idunno
I had him match some sides to the darker part of the back - their loss, my gain!
