Have you ever noticed how sometimes you do a great job at a repair operation. In my case, removing a neck and causing no damage to the top finish....

... when the top no longer matters because it has to be replaced!!!!

That is a break... through the top and into the bridge plate. The entire bridge twisted forward loosening all the string tension... If it was nearly anywhere else, I would have tried to repair it.

This is the result of a fall with the intensity of the perfect storm. The guitar fell over face-first onto a perfectly aligned screwdriver handle. Doh!
