Same here. I've had just one less-than-positive experience with a former OLF vendor over the last five years, and the many stellar ones have far outweighed that. That good old-fashioned service wins my loyalty every time.

Todd, I like your writing style. [:Y:] And, I think it's great when people take the time to jump up and down and let others know when they're happy with a product or service, because it sure seems that many people in life take time to complain, but forget to praise.

This madness needs to stop immediately!

laughing6-hehe

It's like the OLF vendors got stuck in time back when customer service and staisfaction was #1.

We're lucky to have such a great group of vendors to do business with. The best we can do is keep letting them know we appreciate them by giving them repeat business and don't take advantage of them. Keep giving them honest business and they'll keep giving us honest service.

Maybe some UK vendors should be signing up here and following suit...

apologies if there are already some.

I have been noticing this as well, and quite frankly if the world worked as well as the relationships between the members here and the vendors what a world we would live in. It's one thing for someone to help you out of your wallet, it's another thing to actually get service and products that go beyond the norms of today's business standards.

Somethings going on here and i think people should pay very close attention.

G'day Todd,

Yep I have bought wood from most of the venders and I live in Australia. BobC and Shane from High Mountain have given me exceptional service and great products. That is very comforting when you deal with people you can trust.

Todd you said Shane at High Mountain sees a thread on tough-to-find Weissenborn style guitar trim and decides to make a run of it to our specs. What was the trim as I must have missed that thread? I have a weissenborn build planned real soon.

Cheers

Alan

I can only speak for myself , but even I build and use other suppliers here from OLF. I have to saw that the suppliers are all top notch. Maybe it isn't the suppliers but the customers . I have met so many nice people and many have become friends . What a great business to be in .
Thank you all

So true, Todd. I've had Andrew Gribble (Hibdon), Tim Spittle (Australian Tonewoods), and Todd Taggart (Allied) all going many an extra mile for me recently. It's great, and so much appreciated!

I'd have to say the same for Zoot and Colonial Tonewood.
I have had a poor experience, but I won't say...

I have done quite a bit of ordering from the Zootman, and he is the best. Service and quality, not to be matched. I have also done some ordering from John Hall. He is also the best. I think the OLF ended up getting the best vendors out there. You can buy with confidence from them all. And I can tell you John and Bob will do everything they can to make your buying expierence a memorable one. I just need to quit buying for awhile. I'm trying my best.
