Todd: You may know this but the Ted Davis estate wood is being handled by John Arnold. You may be able to get in touch with him at the UMGF.

Carl Barney (cbarney@earthlink.net 203-264-9207) had some great albeit expensive BRW at ASIA this spring.
David Nichols of Nichols Custom Inlay ditto. I bet both of them would love to sell you some.....

John Arnold also posts quite a bit on the acousticguitarforum. I think I've got his contact info around here somewhere if you can't get in touch with him thru other channels.

Has anyone ever bought any BRW from Hanover Brazil? Some of the sets look ok.I`m not sure if stump wood makes any difference in sound quality, any opinions? Stump wood just kind of sounds funky to me .Todd ,please let us know what you come up with and if your satisfied.

James, I've bought a couple of sets from Hanover.
He prices according to quality.
You can get in for c. $500-600, and then--of course--you can go much higher for the really pretty stuff.
It's sound, attractive stuff, and they're a reputable bunch.

Stump wood doesn't bother me. Got several sets here that are just fine, and ring like bells.

Some of the well-known tonewood suppliers have it, but don't advertise it.

Hanover often has better stuff than you see on the website.
