Okay, so I'm not even finished my first and I'm thinking about the second, but here goes anyhow. If I'm making an all-mahogany guitar, any thoughts regarding top thickness?

And question #2. Does anybody have any experience with the edge vise from Luthier Tool?

http://www.luthiertool.com/edge%20vise.html

As always, thanks in advance.

Steve

Each top is different but .115 is a agood starting point back and sides are .095-.100 for back and .09-.85 for sides

This is basicly just an interchangable routing timplate holder for cutting end grafts. I made nine out of plt and a couple of 1/4"-20 screws. I do have experiance with Lutherstools. They make well designed and well machined jigs and fixtures.
