I plan to use double upper tansverse braces. My bracing stock is Lutz. Anybody have suggestions on what width and height I should probably make each of the UTB's? If it matters, the upper bout is about 11" wide on my model.

Thanks,
Peter

Hey Peter,

I use two larger upper transverse braces, each is 3/8" wide x 5/8" high.

Thanks, Rod. I had guessed about that.

Appreciate it.

What is the logic of using a double UTB rather then a deeper and wider one...?

Westca, although I do not use two UTB braces, I would think that the uppermost brace would be a good place to bolt down the fingerboard extension if you use that type of joint,, also would double as a popsicle brace?

Chuck
