Hi all, I am just r4eplacing my bridge on my ES175 and I want to put on an all wood bridge. I have a choice between ebony or rosewood. What are the pros and cons of either?

thanks

From my little experience, I can tell that Ebony is a little bit denser than Rosewood... African Ebony is around 1200kg/m³, and differents species of rosewood are playing between 800 to 1050... approximately. But RWs are almost as stable as ebony, depending of what specie you chose. But I don't it's just gonna be a matter of look for you. If you have a burst that starting black on sides and coming yellow or red in the middle... a dark black ebony bridge would be... sexy! [:Y:]
If not, depending of the color of your finish, you could chose a nice piece of RW...
