Some years ago, iboney came onto the luthiers supplies market. It was treated bone for nuts and saddles. Haven't seen it around, but I saw some samples passed around at our local luthiers group meeting last night. Anybody used it? What did you think?

Pat

Email Pete at:

Pete invented the stuff, sold off the rights a few years back and that deal went south. He may have the rights back and/or have a new producer/supplier.

Tell him I said "Hi"!

Let us know what you find out Pat. I've never heard of it but I'm curious.

For the past several years, Iboney was offered by John Mickelson who was also known for his fossil ivory bridge pins. John has had some hard times and health issues but I recently purchased a good number of Iboney bridge pins and he also had Iboney bridge and nut blanks. You might try emailing him at fik (at) fossilivory (dot) com
