Visited a friend today who messes with guitars, he used to make snooker tables for a living so has loads of stuff left over and around he'd just spray a coat on a guitar and was showing me how and what he stained the neck with and gave me some, its a very dark brown near black spirit based stain by Becker Acroma called antique mahogany, he also said he has a pure red and a pure yellow if I want some, he used them if he had to tone a table to match existing furniture. Now you can guess what I'm think SUNBURSTS with these three would I have enough colours?
I'm so lucky last time I left with 10" x 1/8" x5' of sapele just enough when juggled for a OM or Parlour before that I got a lump a lump of sapele 6" x 4" x 5' for necks..... I must visit more often I joke he just want to clear his shed and he jokes that when he dies he's left it to me in his wheel, and if you don't mind no book match and you can mak it look like it was anyway I'm laughing.
