This is the main funding source for high end guitars, and other 'good stuff'. Uh Oh....After all that forced Political Correctness, now your gonna leave with your wallets? Where is the justice in the world?

I'm finding there are two types of buyers, the gigging musicians who are the great players but are almost universally poor. Then there is the group of guitar lovers that have well paying day jobs and may be good players but stay in their living rooms and discuss their instruments with each other on internet forums. They seem to be the main market for the 3K and up instruments. Many Boomers there. Hell I'm one of them!
The store where I sell carries a lot of high end stuff but sales of 3K and above instruments is still way down. They are doing OK on the cheaper stuff. I hope it's not a continuing trend but I'm worried.
It would be interesting to know how many builders offer a substantial discount to working musicians.

But, there are also a whole lot of people who have been paying for kids thru college and raising their grand kids... and as those kids move out of the house -- you see that income untied.... These are guys who have been playing their old 1973 laminate topped Yamaha for 36 years now and are ready for something better....

Hopefully, they will get a chance to play one of our Customs before they buy that $1500.00 Tak at Guitar Center.

Thanks

John
