I am using the "retro" 12 string tuners from Stew Mac.
I want to make the "rails" 5/16" and the slots 9/16". Since the length of the posts are 1" that leaves just barely 1/8" of the end bearing in the hole in the middle of the peghead.
Is this enough?
Or.. should I reduce the rails to 1/4" in order to leave 3/16" "bearing".

Thanks,
Brad
