Hi everyone

I am getting ready to bend some waterfall Bubinga and from what I have read on the web this is best done with supersoft 2.
I started to order some on the web from the US and the shipping was more than the product and they use UPS which will add a customs brokers fee.

My question is has anyone found a source in Canada or must I spend as much as the wood is worth to bend it?

Fred

i still haven't found a source in Canada Fred. and everywhere i have found it online the shipping is 20 dollars for a 13 dollar bottle. maybe someone will respond that is going to the Michigan meet in November that could pick up a couple bottles for you. that is frustrating why would this product not be in Canada? I have a set of curly bubinga that i was planning on getting supersoft for as well.

I can't source it in the UK, but have read somewhere that fabric conditioner can be used and in fact have used it on mahogany and maple to good effect

Fred, I use "Veneer Softener" I get from A&M in Cambridge. Works with curly maple. (I think it's kind of a generic version of supersoft). You might check it out.

Thanks Dave

I will be popping into A&M on the way to the Tony McManus guitar weekend in Elora in a couple weeks so I will check it out. I love stopping in there, just the smell of the woods is so cool, I am not planning to leave them much of my cash this time though.

I have also seen a product called "Pro-Glue Veneer Softener" at the Woodcraft store in Detroit but was leery to try it.

Fred, I've got a gallon of it. If you want a quart just give me a call.

Yes

If you go to A&M they have it downstairs where all the veneers are.
