Hope this isn't 2nd time doing this. I just got a set of the fret slot templates from Stew Mac and before waste wood thought would ask a question for anyone else who has these.

I am assuming (bad thing for me) that the first nothch is the nut location and then goes from there. I note though the 25.5 scale which I use most has a notch and then 2nd notch is divided. I am assuming again the divided notch is the nut, but which side of divide. duh I know can get out calipers and do the measure of scale length. But lazy and sitting at computer.

The StewMac 25.5" template is set up to cut a 1/8" nut slot for a Fender-style fingerboard. The slot closest to the 2nd fret slot is the one you want for an acoustic fingerboard.
