I haven't posted pics in a long time, here are a few shots of a recent completion. This is a Lutz/Lutz double-top over cocobolo 000-13 fretter with elevated fretboard.

Great looking guitar. I love the Wood/Abalone rosette.

Thanks Tom.....as you can see I use dual sound-ports, I decided to do this after doing blind listening tests with family/friends/customers on a dummy guitar with multiple soundports, the dual ports in this specific guitar shape and size just produced a better tone to the ears in the test, so I made them a normal part of my build process. By the way, you can cover/uncover the ports and hear a discernable difference with both ports open. I thought I had found something really unique until I spotted a few classical builders using dual ports in similar locations as mine.....seems no stone has been unturned in the luthiery world.

Cheers,

Hey Tom, your computer does not lie, here are a few pics of the other side port.

Greg,
Beautiful guitar. I love that dropped top.....or elevated fingerboard...depending on hoe you look t it.
Great finish and wood choices, too.

Congrats,

Thanks a lot Kevin....interesting to me that you are the first person to see/comment on what is happening there, the top does drop to accommodate the raised fingerboard, good eyes [:Y:]

Awesome Greg! That really is a beauty!! Is it a nomax double top or a laminated double top?

Appreciate that Shane.....it is the nomex version, I've considered doing it all wood but the darn things sound so good like this I figure why change. This was a Lutz/Lutz double top too, I wondered if it might be too stiff, but it rocked!

Cheers,

Greg, that's quite a beauty.
Kudos for the bridge design, too!

Hey Steve, I always love seeing pics of your guitars, I think you have a nice sense of design/artistry.....Appreciate the comment about the bridge as this is a new design for me, boy, bridges are tough ones so the feedback is helpful.

Cheers,
