Any one who has not received thier Somogyi books...? Anyone in Canada received thier books....? Law of averages say someone will have them go astray. Guess I'm in the barrel this time. idunno

Tom,
I have been following the posts to see when they arrive on Canada. I think I was one of the first to get a shipping notification on 27 August. Tracking says that my books were held in Customs in Vancouver for four days and released on September 3rd at 5:36 am. So I expect them here today or tomorrow. So, no worries yet, I bet you will see them this week.

Shane

Thanks guys, was starting to look for the panic button.Guess I can hold out for a few more days. Paid by money order early before the order page was set up.Have not received a notification and don't expect to receive one. Got an e-mail from Jason saying they were on the way,but that was 10 days or so ago. Thanks again, going back to fretting and worrying mode.
Tom.

I was also an earlier purchaser by check, and haven't gotten mine yet in Delaware, USA, unless they came yesterday while I'm out of town.

Jim,

You should probably have yours by now - got mine over a week ago - in New York. Might be worth a note/call.

I was a check purchaser too, and got mine last Thursday. If I were in the US, ordered in the pre-publication period, and had not received mine yet, I might send an email to Jason.

This was his last post, I think, in the other thread about the books. Posted on 08/29/09.

"Just a follow up not after getting an email from Jim.

If you guys paid with a check, I don't believe that there will be an email confirmation sent out to you, as the email confirmation is done through paypal, not USPS. Most of the people that paid with a check didn't provide an email address either, so I had no way of taking care of that. If you are concerned as to whether or not your books went out, just shoot me an email and I will work to aleviate your fears or at least make things better. Chris and I talked and found out that we had, indeed, dropped the ball on his order, so at least we were able to take care of it. I promise that I am not perfect, but am at least working hard at getting better! I sent out 27 sets to people that paid with a check yesterday, and that is all that I have on our records. Hang in there, and let me know if you need anything.

Jason"

I had talked to Jason and he told me when mine went out. He thought I should have gotten it by last Friday. Making me nervous now.

if you have a community mailbox type of system with boxes for packages the books may have already been delivered without requiring a signature...

from the reading of what others had to say I had assumed the books would have been delivered to my front door and require a signature, but upon checking my mail last Saturday (trust me, I don't make a point of checking my mail daily since it requires stopping, getting out of my truck, etc.) I found the key for the package box, and the books inside said delivery box...

I'm up to chapter 24 and there is a lot of stuff in them for sure. Just don't forget to find the end notes as you will be flipping back and forth a lot. At first I thought that the chapters didn't look all that long untill I started to add in the end notes. Half of the info is in the end notes sometime. Like Waddy says, lots to absorb. And lot's to think about. To me well worth the money so far. It's like taking a class. Well, I have to read some more. :)
I hope you all get your books soon.
