This is maybe off topic for this area...feel free to move as needed. :-)

I wanted to see if there is a spot on the site specific to recommending suppliers. We have a local 'reclaimed' wood seller here and I wanted to pass on his info, but didn't want to hijack a thread or topic to do it.

If there isn't already an area for this, can we have one?

Thanks!

Matthew

As long as you are not the wood seller, this is the place. :)

If you have an interest in this business we ask that you go through sponsorship channels.

Excellent...thanks!

This is a great local (Portland, Oregon) supplier of woods. He gets most of his stock from taking down trees, or reclaiming ones that are being taken down. Some of his stuff also comes from contacts he has elsewhere (Hawaii, etc). His big thing is not cutting down trees just for the lumber, but trying to use trees that are coming down anyway. :-)

He does have a small selection of instrument woods, but also has access to the equipment to make special order stuff.
