Les was a real innovator. The guitar designs pale in comparison to what he did for music; the guy invented multitrack recording!

Les and Mary were good friends with my grandparents many years ago. As very young couple Les and Mary Ford played for my grandparents wedding reseption. my Aunt has a photo of the reception with my newlywed grand parents dancing in front of the stage with Les and Mary playing. MY heart is heavy with this news but I am sure les is happy to at last be with mary again.

A hard act to top! We'd be a lot poorer without his talent and inventive genius! Quite a legacy.

What a great man and pioneer! My old LP cherry sunburst will be goin' to church with me Sunday in his honor...I guess it could be said that in the guitar world, Les was more!

I came running here when I heard the news! What a shock! I had NO idea he was the grand age he was.

Congratulations Les Paul on a wonderful legacy, truly a man for the history of Luthiere. May he rest.

I got a call from someone at work today giving me the news. It was sad to hear that such a legend had passed away.

He gave us a lot. We cant really be that sad. He made it to 94! We should all be so lucky. He was by far the best thing to come out of Waukesha.
