Does anyone know where I can get parts for a performax 16/32? The motor mount which holds the vertical adjustment screw bit the dust. All the threads that the screw uses to lift the housing wore off.

Brock,
It should be a lot cheaper to repair it.
Do you know about Helicoil?

I was going to suggest the same thing as Steve. The nice part about the Helicoil is that you'll have steel threads for the lift screw instead of cast aluminum.

Brock,

Looks like Keith beat me to the punch :) The Heli-Coil option is the cheapest though and will outlast the new cast-metal part you would buy to replace the worn one.

Repairing the thread should work well. I've switched from helicoil to Time Sert as a thread repair
system. Have used it most on auto repairs but it's a great system for any thread repair. Heli-coil
will hold up well in most situations but in high stress areas such as cylinder heads etc, Time Sert
is the way to go. http://www.timesert.com/

I've had good experiences with getting Performax parts from the factory, they have been prompt
and have the parts in stock. The feed motor on my belt drive system lost a gear, I had one in two days
with no charges. Not bad....
