I did what most people do..Make a choice and deal with the consequences of that choice later.
I went with my gut and glued the armrest on prior to final finish spray. I did spend enough nights in bed thinking about it to not round the binding edge off where the armrest was going to go.
The armrest I created is back cut so only about 3/8 in.(haven't made the MM conversion yet) of material actually glues to the surface of the tops edge. I concluded that this probably would not effect the tops tonal quality. I was then able to scrape the edge flush with the sides and make a perfect seam.

So far, I have had no problems spraying my finish around the armrest. I AM, However, a little disappointed in my rosewood fill work prior to filling. (First Guitar build) I guess my old eyes missed a lot of filling. Looks like I'm going to be doing more coats and sanding than I thought.
