As usual beautiful work bro. Wish I could go to Healdsburg but this year it falls on the weekend my lovely Bride and I will be celebrating our anniversary.

Peter,

That's another beauty in the making. Love the cutaway. Do you still do your own finishing?

Great looking guitar. I believe you build in the same order I do. Complete the "box" and the start on the neck. Do you send your necks to Joe or use some other finish on them?

Peter,

I've heard a lot of good things about Joe White finishes. What material does he use on yours?

Sweet-looking guitar...looking forward to playing it.
Does your comment mean you're bringing 7 guitars to Healdsburg?
Or just that you're bringing this first-in-series to H'burg?
And...how many guitars do you plan on showing???

Steve

Steve,
this one is 1 of 7 but only one of the series that will go to the show.
I have 2 more to show currently being sprayed. A SJ in Madrose and another Zion in BRW.

How about you?

Yeah I agree. I really can't tell by a shot of just the back and side if you know what I mean and how about some details on it too. And might I ask why you all don't do more traditional finishes? Is it a time/ cost thing or do you think the poly is a better finish?

Chris,
I use poly because I believe its a better finish. Sure, many may disagree but that's my preference. Strong finish, really glossy and resistant to sweat and solvents.

Now I can say, Sweet! [:Y:] [:Y:] Only 2 untill I see the neck. ;) Is that ebony binding and Claro veneer on the arm rest?
I don't really know much on the poly finish. I'm guessing Joe did the sunburst too. I know Joe does a heck of a job from what I've seen.
Peter do you also make that your signature sound port and do you reduce your sound hole size any to compensate for the port? I hope you don't mind me asking but I'm still thinking about putting a port on my build and I'm into the armrest and ribrest and trying to perfect them.
