Doing my first Guitar build from LMI kit. Ready for finish. Only a couple problems encountered.1. prebent sides had cupping issues after sides back/top/side assembly. Only noticed when scraping down the sides. I may create side bracing supports in places next time.
LMI video states a 650 +1 distance measurement for locating bridge from nut. Bogdanovich book recommends 650+2. Am I OK with either or somewhere in between.
Hate to mess up at this time.

If I remember right, it's Bogdanovich that does 650 plus 1mm, Courtnall is 650 plus 2 mm. Schramm is 650 plus 2mm.

Bogdanovich leaves some wiggle room for moving back, he does some saddle intonation with a small wire so it's not necessarily cut with a peak at the front of the saddle.

Yes...this is a classical first timer. First guitar kit attempt. Old woodworker and master carver "crab hands" don't allow me to play professionally any more.....so after carving incise and relief in instruments for other people and companies for years, I decided to try making an instrument for myself. The kit was a challenge, but I see the draw to doing one from scratch. The kit also gave me a chance to assess the options of building homemade guitar making devices and the need to purchase other necessary items. A first time kit with options(prebent sides/back/top joining and neck shaping) saves a ton of money and investment in tools....especially if you don't ever want to make another one. Good way to get your feet wet.
