Hi Folks,

I was wondering if anybody had any pictures or measurements of a ladder-braced top ala the old Oscar Schmidt Stellas?

Thx!

Glenn

I have a couple of images here that might be of limited help Glenn, I am currently out of town and only have access to the stuff I have stashed on my web server. Here is a picture that shows the braces of an old top although it's not a real good shot. The other is of my top pattern that was taken from this guitar. It is a concert model and the lower bout should be 13 1/2" so you may be able to take the pattern picture and scale it to your needs. I won't be home for about a month so I can't be of much help in the near term.

Hey Glenn, here's a couple of pictures of ladder bracing that Todd Cambio of Fraulini guitars sent me a while back.

This is an old Oscar Schmidt Stella from NY.

And this one is about the same age but it's from the Chicago area builders.

No dimensions but maybe this will steer you in the right direction.
