I find that sanding the Classical guitar side where it meets the heel is made much easier if I use an old credit card cut to shape, and mounted to a piece of sandpaper.
I use a double stick adhesive sheet to mount the paper onto the card.

I like this. I have been using a pink pearl eraser but this looks better. The OLF is like one big brain storming session.

I don't remember exactly how I went about doing this, but it was a pain and far from perfect. Actually, gettign the sanding roght around the neck is the main reason I tend to shy away from doing another spanish style joint.

This tip is great and I'm sure will make life easier.

Great tip!!! I don't build classical anymore but I do have a problem area on my SS's on the back of the headstock, around the diamond. I'm going to try it!
