I'm just about to glue in the fan bars on my Torres-like CG. I'm not sure if I should radius the bars first or just press them into the dish in the solera?

Don't radius them. Press them into the shape, as determined by the Solera. They will hold their shape fine.

Hey Doug, I see you are monitoring this and the other site on my question. The Torres plan calls for 2 mm high fans. Should I start with them at 3.5 to 4mm and then tune by taking them down to 2mm if needed?

As others have said, just spring them into the dish in the solera, when the glue has set they'll hold the radis just fine.

You say that the Torres plan uses 2mm fan braces, which #Torres is that? Most of the Torres I've seen use 3mmx7mm wide fan braces, which is what I use.

Colin

Colin, thanks, its the 1888 plan from LMI. I'll go with 3mm H x 7 mm W and unradiused. Thanks
