Does anyone know of a source for pearloid sheet stock?
I have a client in Germany making repro bass necks and they want the plastic mother of pearl,
Ugh! wow7-eyes

It must be available somewhere, since I am routing out some .070 pearloid on a Gibson bass and replacing it with the real deal.
Any help would be appreciated.
By the way, I can not use any 3 ply laminate similar to pickguard stock as I'm afraid it may sand through on the edge of the radius.
Thanks,
Paul

Yeah Craig, I know....But, "We aims to please"!

I googled too but hit a dead end. I tried a couple of drum supplier sites which have .030 but it doesn't look promising.
I have a call in to Masecraft supply too, but I guess everyone cut out early for the long weekend!

Craig, Nice web site.... You've got me thinking about mine for the 3rd time in the last 2 years!!!!!!!!!

In woodworking we used to refer to this stuff as "Mother of Toilet Seat" Here's another fairly decent source They have the Tortise variety as well. Their sheets come in 4 guages ranging from .018" to .048" and are 28" X 54" in size. Prices range from $45 to $85 per sheet. They also carry the Ebony Fiber Sheets. :)
