How much does the inlay cost?

I agree with Lance, that's covering yourself for sure.

Lots of folks want a set price. I'm thinking a couple to 3 times the cost of the inlay, plus the inlay.

You are creating the inlay cavity which is the reverse of making the inlay.

Not likely you are gonna mess up a fretboard, but you could consider that as a factor.

I checked luthierssupply.com and the pink shell in this design is $48.

48 x 3 = $150
48 x 4 = $200

The latter would be allowing about 3 hours for the job at Lance's suggested base per hour.
