I am glad I am patient (these days). I think I got the wood clean with only the SMALLEST pores. Then, after 6-8 coats of lacquer (EmTech 6000), there they are AGAIN! And they keep geting bigger! Is there no end to this? Will they EVER fill? Or will they be like little bore holes going all the way back to the hole? I tried taking picks, but it does not show up. I have to believe the pores themselves are now filled. Maybe sanding back after 3-4 days will prove it.

Ummm - what type of wood?
What did you fill the pores with first? Did you? EM6000 is lacquer, not pore filler, right?

Yes... epoxy. I am just ranting.

Mike, how long has the finish been curing? I like to get all my coats (12-14 depending on orange peal) on before I worry about spot filling small holes or pores that didn't get filled. Get all your coats on, let it cure at least 2 weeks as the lacquer will really shrink back over this initial cure time, level sand than assess to see if you have any drop filling to do.

Well Rod, I have sanded back once now (after a week+ of drying). There just seem to be these trouble spots I cannot get rid of. I am using this guitar to learn the lesson. I have 9+ coats on. Gonna let it cure out. I want to be able to sand back without wood dust and see it level out. Why does not EmTech make a "paste" version to "heavy coat" the wood? Use with a spatula? Gonna make my own.
