What ratio do you use when mixing retarder with your Nitro?

I've been using the instructions that LMI published on their web site (http://www.lmii.com/CartTwo/Nitrocellulose.htm) as a guide and have had good results. They basically say 5% for the build coats and 10% for the final or "flash" coats. I do wait two days between build coats but only 2 weeks before rub out and I've had no problems.

I would say if you arent getting blush, then none ... leave it alone. Havent used the stuff in ten years.

I agree Tony.I sprayed 3 coats yesterday without it and all went well as usual.We have rain moveing in today ,so i will have to hold off on the next 3 coats for 3 or 4 days.
